Just Move on

Hi readers,
I have always accept to learn from my failures and leave the past for the past. I recently went to my mail and check the no of rejections I have gotten from fellowships and I noticed it has skyrocketed. Then, I started assessing myself and compared now and when I started applying for opportunities. I noticed I have learned so many things. I noticed I have become more innovative and learned why it wouldn't work. I noticed, I have been able to cope with failures. While I was an undergraduate, I hate it when I score less points but now life has taught me how to cope and manage failures.

Life is full of lessons, the more you fail, the more you learn and move forward. Learn to leave the past for the past and move with the present and picture the future. It may not work for you now but it will tomorrow. Sometimes, we dwell on things that is not worth fighting for and we waste time fighting for unnecessary things. I would have resorted to lamenting and blaming the selection committee for my rejections. But life is above that, it involves lessons and we have to churn those lessons into becoming a better person. We have to fight for our cause, our future, our vision, our purpose. These are things that are worth fighting for.

Then, sometimes your friends, families may not believe in your dreams, don't stop pursuing your dreams, rather move on and reserve your energy for your vision. Don't get contagious fighting for the unnecessary. They might see you as crazy but as you move closer to your destiny, it will unveil to them, why you held on so much to your dreams.

TD Jakes said, and I quote, "No one can see clearly in a storm. That's why we must walk by faith and not simply by what we can see. The storm is hard, but there is purpose for the storm. The storm is uncomfortable, but there is a purpose for your discomfort. God has plans for you even in the storm. Just because you are in a storm, does not negate, the presence of God. When you get through battling the storm, you will have more wisdom, more tenacity, more power, and more vision to take you forward."

Whenever life gets you down, I need you to move on. Just move on, be a better person and learn from your mistakes. Thank you for reading!
